1.  Question: Who made you?
Answer: God made me

Answer: For his own glory

Answer:   God created man, male and female, after his own image

Answer:  God made the body of Adam out of the ground, and formed Eve from the body of Adam

19.  Question:  What did God give Adam and Eve besides bodies?
Answer:  He gave them souls that could never die

20.  Question:  Have you a soul as well as a body?
Answer:  Yes. I have a soul that can never die

21.  Question:   How do you know that you have a soul?
Answer:  Because the Bible tells me so

Answer:  He made them holy and happy

Answer:  The covenant of life

24.  Question: What is a covenant?

Answer:  A relationship that God establishes with us and guarantees with his word

25.  Question:  In the covenant of life, what did God require Adam to do?

Answer:  To obey God perfectly.

Answer:  To reward Adam with life if he obeyed God perfectly.

Answer:  To punish Adam with death if he disobeyed.

Answer:  No.  He sinned against God

29.  Question:  What is sin?

Answer:   Sin is any lack of conformity to, or transgression of, the law of God.

30.  Question: What is meant by lack of Conformity?

Answer:  Not being of doing what God requires.


31.  Question:  What is meant by transgression?

Answer:  Doing what God forbids

32.  Question: What does every sin deserve?

Answer:  The wrath and curse of God

33.  Question: What was the sin of our first parents?

Answer:  Eating the forbidden fruit.

34.  Question: Who tempted Adam and Eve?

Answer:  Satan tempted Eve first, and then he used her to tempt Adam.


35.  Question: How did Adam and Eve change when they sinned?

Answer:  Instead of being holy and happy, they became sinful and miserable.

36.  Question:  Did Adam act for himself alone in the covenant of life?

Answer:  No he represented the whole human race.

37.  Question: What effect did the sin of Adam have on all people?

Answer:   We are all born guilty and sinful.

38.  Question: How sinful are you by nature?

Answer:  I am corrupt in every part of my being.

39.  Question: What is the sinful nature that we inherit from Adam called?

Answer:  Original sin.


40.  Question: Can anyone got to heaven with this sinful nature?

Answer: No.  Our hearts must be changed before we can believe in Jesus and go to heaven.

41.  Question: What is this change of heart called?

Answer:  The new birth, or regeneration.

42.  Question: Who can change a sinner's heart?

Answer: The Holy Spirit alone.

43.  Question: Can anyone be saved through the covenant of life?

Answer:  No. No one can be saved through the covenant of life.


44.  Question:  Why can't anyone be saved through the covenant of life?

Answer:  Because all have broken it and are condemned by it.

45. Question:   How did you break the covenant of life?

Answer:  Adam represented all people, and so I fell with Adam in his first sin.

46.  Question:  How, then, can you be saved?

Answer:  By the Lord Jesus Christ through the covenant of grace.

47.  Question:  Whom did Christ represent in the covenant of grace?

Answer:  His elect people.


48.  Question:  How did Christ fulfill the covenant of Grace

Answer:  Christ obeyed the whole law for his people, and then suffered the punishment due for their sins

49. Question: Did Jesus eve Sin?

Answer:  No.  He lived a sinless life.

50.  Question:  How could Christ suffer?

Answer:  Christ, the Son of God, became a man so that he could obey and suffer in our place
